Health and Wellbeing

Wellness and re-ablement are key to remaining independent. Choose from gentle exercise programs, technology support to keep you connected, falls prevention, respite getaways and more.

Technology in your home can also help you remain independent and give you and your family peace of mind. Please see below for more information.

Live alone?

UMPS Health is a smart home device that supports you to live safely in your own home. 'Smart' plugs fit between any appliance and the power point and are used to detect usage i.e. your kettle, fridge, bedside lamp etc. The system learns from your daily habits and if something changes (i.e. you don't boil the kettle or turn off your bedside lamp), the system is designed to contact your family or care provider so they can send support.

UMPS is a really simple and non-invasive system - you don't need to wear a pendant or press a button for the system to work. It can be installed in about 10 minutes, by anyone.

Personalised and private, UMPS is ideal for people who live alone and provides peace of mind for both them and their family. There are no lock-in contracts so you can stop using UMPS Health at any time if it's not right for you.

Please call our friendly Customer Service Team on 1300 578 478 to find out how UMPS can help you or a loved one.

Worried about falling ?

Come along to the FREE Stepping On falls prevention program
STEPPING ON RGB

Stepping On is an exciting initiative of the NSW Department of Health, presented by Adssi In-home Support. This free program is designed for older people who are living independently in the community at home and who have fallen or are fearful of falling. Participation in Stepping On gives older people the confidence to undertake their everyday activities more safely and independently, to reduce their risk of falling.

Coordinator Fay Huckstepp said participants will learn exercises to improve strength and balance and practical ways to reduce the risk of falling. “The program is run over 7 weeks so it’s also a great way to meet a new group of people”, she explained.
