Prevention program for older people
Free falls prevention program designed for older people who are living independently in the community at home and who have fallen or are fearful of falling. The free 7 week program will help you build knowledge, strength and confidence to remain independent at home.
To attend you must be over 65 years and able to walk independently or with a walking stick (not a walker), fearful of falling or have fallen recently. Carers and the people they care for are encouraged to attend together.
The program is not suitable for people with progressive neurological conditions e.g.
- Parkinson’s Disease.
